Public Commenting

Thank you for your interest in providing comments on the Action Proponents’ proposal to prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement (OEIS) (known hereinafter as Supplemental) to conduct military readiness training and research, development, testing, and evaluation activities in the Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing (AFTT) Study Area. 

The scoping period for this project closed on 16 December, 2023. The U.S. Navy appreciates all of the comments received. Comments will be considered and addressed in the Draft SEIS, which is expected to be released in the Fall of 2024. During the public comment period for the Draft SEIS, the public will have another opportunity to provide input on the draft analysis of the Proposed Action and the potential impacts on the environment.
