Welcome
Welcome to the United States (U.S.) Department of the Navy's webpage for the Environmental Assessment (EA) for Flight Training Activities in the Bourbon Military Operations Area Offshore from Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, Louisiana (NAS JRB NOLA).
The Navy has prepared this Environmental Assessment in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as implemented by the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations and Navy regulations. The Navy proposes to request that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) establish a new Military Operations Area (MOA) and associated Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace (ATCAA), named the Bourbon MOA/ATCAA, east of NAS JRB NOLA adjacent to the existing Snake MOA/ATCAA to accommodate required flight training activities for squadrons stationed at the base.
Thank you for participating in the NEPA process for the EA. The Draft EA is now available to download on the Draft EA Documents page.
