Letters of Authorization (LOAs)
Issuance of LOAs for the incidental take of marine mammals during the described activities and timeframes, prescribe the permissible methods of taking and other means of effecting the least practicable adverse impact on marine mammal species or stocks and their habitat, and establish requirements pertaining to the monitoring and reporting of such taking.

Record of Decision (ROD) for AFTT Final EIS/OEIS
The Navy, after carefully weighing the strategic, operational and environmental consequences of the proposed action, announced its decision on Oct. 25, 2018, to conduct training and testing (also referred to as military readiness activities) under Alternative I, which will account for the natural fluctuations of training cycles, deployment schedules, and use of synthetic training opportunities.
