Public Involvement

Public Meetings

In support of the National Environmental Policy Act and National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 guidelines and regulations, the Action Proponents are holding two public meetings during the Draft SEIS/OEIS public review and comment period. Meetings will include informational poster stations staffed by project representatives who can answer questions about the Proposed Action and environmental analysis. The Action Proponents will give a brief presentation followed by a public oral comment session. Comments will also be accepted in writing at the public meetings. Interpreters for CHamoru (Guam meeting) and Chamorro and Carolinian (Saipan meeting) will be available.

Outreach Meetings

The Action Proponents value the strong relationships built over many years with government officials and residents of Tinian and Rota. Outreach meetings will be held to provide information about the project and answer questions about the Proposed Action and environmental analysis. Comments will be accepted in writing at the outreach meetings.
