In-Person Public Meeting

The Navy held an open house public meeting during the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) public review and comment period (Aug. 30 through Sept. 30, 2024) for land-based training and testing at PMRF. The purpose of the open house public meeting was to inform the public about the Proposed Action and the environmental assessment, answer questions, and accept comments on the Draft EA. While a public meeting is not required for an EA, the Navy held a meeting to maximize the public’s ability to participate in the National Environmental Policy Act process.

The meeting was held in an open-house format and included poster stations staffed by project representatives who provided information and answered questions from the public. The public was able to arrive at any time between 4 and 7 p.m., and the Navy provided a short presentation at 5:00 p.m. The open house public meeting was held:
