Project Schedule

Public involvement is a fundamental aspect of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 106 processes, and the Navy offered opportunities for the public to participate in the development of the Environmental Assessment (EA). While a public meeting is not required for an EA, the Navy held a meeting to maximize the public’s ability to participate in the NEPA process. In an effort to improve and strengthen the EA, the Navy welcomed and continues to appreciate the public’s participation.
