The Supplemental EIS will reflect the current compilation of training and testing activities required to fulfill the military readiness requirements, and therefore the Proposed Action will include newly proposed activities and changes to previously analyzed activities, including range modernization and sustainment.

Changes From Previous Analyses

The Action Proponents will analyze new information and changes to military readiness activities.

 

New information and changes to the Proposed Action include:

  • Updates to training and testing activities, reflecting the most up-to-date compilation of activities deemed necessary to accomplish requirements
  • Revised acoustic effects model
  • Updated marine mammal density data
  • Research published since the previous analyses
  • Range modernization and sustainment to support training and testing activities:
  • Installation and maintenance of subsurface targets and instrumentation.
