Civilian Port Defense

Civilian Port Defense training activities routinely occur every year utilizing naval forces with expertise in mine warfare, typically alternating between the East and West Coasts of the United States. Each training event takes place over multiple weeks utilizing a variety of assets and scenarios. The Programmatic Environmental
Assessment serves as the foundational environmental planning document to support Civilian Port Defense West Coast training activities in ports not typically covered by other Navy at-sea documentation.
