Navy Public Meeting Regarding the Draft Environmental Assessment for Home Basing of V-22 Osprey Aircraft at NAS North Island Has Been Postponed
NORFOLK, Va. — Due to the federal government shutdown, the Navy has postponed the public meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, at the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way, Coronado, CA, regarding the Draft Environmental Assessment for home basing of the V-22 Osprey aircraft at Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island.

NORFOLK, Va. — The Navy has prepared and released to the public a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) proposing to provide facilities and functions to support the replacement of the aging C-2A Greyhound aircraft with the new CMV-22B Osprey (Navy V-22) aircraft at existing West and East Coast Fleet Logistics Centers, Naval Air Station North Island, California and Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Signs NDE for SURTASS LFA
WASHINGTON — The Deputy Secretary of Defense has invoked a National Defense Exemption (NDE), after conferring with the Secretary of Commerce.
